Cameron Jordan makes a visit to Jordan Winery

It’s been a good summer for New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan. He signed an extension with the team that will keep him around through 2023, earning another $52.5 million. He represented the Saints and the NFL abroad on a USO Tour to South Korea, where he got to ride in a tank. His youth football camp, chaperoned by teammates Marcus Davenport and David Onyemata, was a roaring success. He was also able to celebrate the birthdays of his young children during the break between team practice sessions. Things are going well in the Jordan household.

So of course they made a visit to one of his favorite places in the world: Jordan Winery in Healdsburg, California. Jordan is an admitted fan of the winery, often gifting bottles of their wine (all of which carry his name) to defeated opponents like Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and left tackle Matt Kalil (now with the Houston Texans, who Jordan and the Saints will play in Week 1 this year). But he swears this was a simple family vacation with no ulterior motives, like securing more bottles of wine to share with opposing players after putting them in the dirt.

“To be clear I’m a lover and connoisseur of Jordan Winery ’tis all,” Jordan wrote on his official Instagram account. He also shared video of he and his family touring the Winery’s fields, storerooms, and manufacturing facilities.

The summer of Cameron Jordan endures. Veteran Saints players will not report for training camp until July 25, so he has the better part of a month to continue having the time of his life. And if he happens to pick up a few souvenirs to pass off to embarrassed opponents in a few months, well, that’s just a little bonus.
