Cameron Jordan fined by NFL for Week 12 penalties vs. Panthers

Cameron Jordan remains the biggest villain in the NFC South as far as the Panthers are concerned. In last week’s win for New Orleans, he was flagged twice for unnecessary roughness penalties against the Panthers. Today, Jordan is paying a price for those fouls.

According to Tom Pelissero at NFL Network, the league has fined Jordan a total of $38,602 for those infractions.

The worst of it was this late hit on Kyle Allen, where Jordan lays a forearm shiver to Allen’s helmet.

Jordan claimed he was trying to punch the ball out, but it’s not a very convincing argument considering the whistle had already blown.

The Panthers haven’t seen the last of Jordan this year. They’ll play the Saints again in the last game of the regular season. However, New Orleans has already secured the NFC South title with a Thanksgiving win over Atlanta. It’s their third consecutive division championship.
