Cameron Jordan celebrates contract extension for Bucs’ left tackle

New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan isn’t one to keep his feelings to himself. So of course he had some thoughts after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed left tackle Donovan Smith, Jordan’s frequent opponent in NFC South games, to a three-year contract extension worth as much as $41.25 million, with $27 million in guarantees.

Just, the thing is, it appears Jordan celebrated the signing. And he used the occasion to pitch teammate Alex Okafor on re-signing with the Saints, writing, “Food solidified for another three (years) now come on back bruhhda.” Clearly, Smith is not a player Jordan has much respect for. He’s committed stunts in the past with divisional rivals, christening Carolina Panthers left tackle Matt Kalil as ‘Speedbumb McGee‘ and shipping bottles of Jordan-brand wine to Panthers quarterback Cam Newton.

Frankly, it’s hilarious. The Saints’ defensive ends have had their way with Smith in recent meetings, with Jordan and Okafor combining for five sacks and nine quarterback hits in their last four games against the Buccaneers. Okafor is a free agent for the 2019 signing period, and it’s clear Jordan would like to continue having him in the rotation of Saints pass rushers moving forward.
