Cameron Carter-Vickers sends passionate Celtic fan message as he's convinced success is coming

Cameron Carter-Vickers has urged Celtic fans to keep the faith in their team after they failed to find a way past Livingston on Saturday.

And he insisted that the dressing room belief in boss Ange Postecoglou ’s methods are as strong as ever, despite the Hoops blowing the chance to claim top spot - even temporarily - from Rangers by drawing 0-0 as their rivals didn’t play until yesterday.

The on-loan Spurs defender has been a big hit since his arrival on the last day of the transfer window and he has been impressed by the manner in which Postecoglou has quickly moulded a title-challenging side after a sticky opening spell.

And he isn’t reading too much into their failure to take top spot this weekend, saying: “The way we play is the way we believe will bring us the most success and the players are all right behind that.

“That’s what we want to do, that’s what we try to do and that’s what we’ll keep doing.

“It was a chance to go top of the league and that’s obviously where we want to be, but it’s only the end of October and leagues aren’t won at this time of the season.

“There’s plenty of time and I believe if we stick to our principles we’ll get there.

“I’m feeling good, I’m enjoying it here. It’s all about keep on improving, keeping doing what the manager wants us to do.”

The weekend action came at a price for Carter-Vickers’ central defensive partner Carl Starfelt, who limped off with a hamstring problem.

The Swedish international will have a scan on Monday but is likely to join Tom Rogic, who has a similar complaint, on the sidelines for Thursday’s Europa Leagu e trip to Hungary against Ferencvaros.
