Cameron Boyce Foundation set up in memory of tragic Disney star

A charitable foundation has been launched in memory of Disney star Cameron Boyce who died aged 26 last month.

Actress and Descendants co-star, Sofia Carson has announced the news on her Instagram sharing a striking photo of her friend.

"The Cameron Boyce Foundation has launched, guided by the mission that was at Cam's heart and soul." she announced on her Instagram.

"We are the lucky ones that got to live at the same time as Cameron Boyce. Together, we will keep his heart and legacy alove. Link in bio. This is for you Cam." she sweetly writes.

Cameron Boyce tragically died on July 6th 2019 in his sleep at his home in California "due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated" his family announced in a statement.

His parents, Victor and Libby have said that the foundation will keep his memory alive.

"The pain we have endured and are continuing to endure is indescribable, but we are making every effort to move forward and ensure that Cameron's legacy and all that he stood for is honored, " they said in the statement.

Boyce was previously diagnosed with epilepsy.

The Cameron Boyce Foundation  has now launched online with a leading quote from the actor at the top of the page, saying;
"We all go...what you leave should be bigger than you."

Along with an option to make a donation, the page simply says;

'The foundation provides young people artistic and creative outlets as alternatives to violence and negativity and uses resources and philanthropy for positive change in the world. The Foundation was established in 2019 to honor Cameron's legacy.'
