Cambuslang Rangers troll Manchester United defender Harry Maguire after Tottenham result

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been trolled by a West of Scotland League club after a nightmare display against Tottenham - with the club saying "he might get a place on their bench".

Cambuslang Rangers were responding to a Tweet deeming Maguire's performance in Manchester United's shock 6-1 defeat at home to Spurs so poor that he "wouldn't get a game for Cambuslang Rangers." The defeat was a record-equalling home humiliation for the Red Devils.

Lang, who play in Scottish football's seventh tier, joined in on the joke, posting a mock-up of £80m man Maguire in a Cambuslang jersey with the following post:

The transfer window closes today, so Lang will have to move quickly if they want to bring the England international to Somervell Park for the new WOSL campaign.

Former Hull City hero Maguire joined United from Leicester in 2019 for an astronomical transfer fee.

However, since his move to Old Trafford, his displays for Ole Gunner Solskjær's side haven't gone down well with the Reds' faithful.

His performance yesterday and that of team-mate Eric Bailly has been described as "shambolic" by some pundits.

United are 16th in the Premier League, with one win and two defeats from their opening games.
