Cambuslang Rangers set to pull out of West of Scotland League on crisis-hit division D-Day

Cambuslang Rangers are set to pull out of the inaugural West of Scotland League campaign after a week of chaos.

Clubs have until 8pm today to walk away from the new-look tier six and seven after promotion and relegation were scrapped.

Last weekend Ardrossan Winton Rovers, Arthurlie , Auchinleck Talbot , Cumnock, Glenafton, Kilbirnie Ladeside, Petershill, Pollok, and Whitletts all confirmed their exit.

This led to the Interim Management Group today confirming teams would not be going up to the Premier Division or sent down to the conferences.

A second chance to leave the ranks was offered to clubs with The Lang among the first to take the league IMG up on the option.

The Somervell Park committee last night released a statement on their website confirming they were to mothball, however it has now been taken down along with social media posts relating to this.

Sources at the tier seven side have confirmed that The Lang will follow through and "not take part" in the 2020/21 set-up.
