Cambuslang Rangers Football Club have hit out at sunbathers and dog walkers for using their pitch as a public park - and warned they could face police action.
With a prolonged spell of warm weather forecast over the next few days, the club issued a statement last night warning the public to stay away from their ground after numerous locals were spotted using Somervell Park.
A club statement on their official Twitter account read: "We hope everyone is safe and respecting the importance of the Government message to stay at home.
"As rules are set t relax in the coming days we feel it is necessary to stress that Somervell Park is private owned land and should UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES be treated as a meeting point.
"Volunteers have been working so hard on our ground and we would hate for this work to be tarnished by members of the public misusing or trespassing on our facilities.
"Over the past 24 hours there have been individuals entering the ground and gathering on our pitch.
"Our stadium is not a public park and should not be used for walking dogs or sunbathing on.
"This will not be tolerated by the club and moving forward anyone who ignores this important message will have their details passed to the police.
"Whilst this is absolutely the last thing that the police should be having to deal with at these times we will have to take a stance against this.
"Stay At Home. Protect The NHS. Save Lives."

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon confirmed this afternoon that lockdown measure will be easing from tomorrow, with sunbathing in the park permitted and non-contact sports such as tennis and golf allowed to resume.
Football, particularly in the Junior and amateur game, remains a long way off. It has been suggested the top flight in Scotland may resume by August, but the very bottom tier could be waiting until next year to kick-off.
