Cambuslang Rangers 2005s desperate to get back to training, says coach

Cambuslang Rangers 2005s coach Craig Dingwall says his kids couldn’t wait to get stuck in to their first post-lockdown training session on Tuesday evening.

Groups of 10 were permitted to get back into action from Monday, and Craig says being able to train will make a huge difference to the boys, even if it involves masks and sanitisation methods, as they ensure they’re in keeping with legislation.

Craig said: “Getting back will make a massive difference, if nothing else for their mental health and well-being. Being stuck indoors all the time and not being able to see their friends and family is difficult.

“It’s going to be welcomed by them all to be at training with all their friends.”

Craig added: “We’re making sure we follow every guideline possible, and have bought a temperature gun, so will be able to take all the boys’ temperatures as they come in.

“We’ve ordered face masks, we’ve got Dettol spray and all the relevant stuff.”
