A Cambuslang man addicted to child porn handed himself in after downloading indecent images of young children including a nine-month-old baby.
Paedophile Fraser Heggie was originally snared with 896 images on his iPhone in February 2019.
The 26-year-old was granted bail and banned from having electronic devices to access the internet.
But Heggie failed to notify police after purchasing a tablet and re-downloading images from an online cloud account.
He handed himself into a police station stating that he was addicted and would “continue to re-offend.”
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard the tablet contained 213 still and moving images of young children.
Prosecutor Mark Allan told the court an 18-month-old boy “screamed” throughout one video lasting over five minutes.
The youngest child on the vile images was a nine-month-old baby boy.
Mr Allan said: “These images were for his own sexual gratification.”
Heggie pled guilty today to possession and distribution of indecent images of children.
Lawyer Linda Findlay, defending, said Heggie is “extremely anxious” in custody and his family wanted him home.
Sheriff Paul Crozier continued Heggie’s remand until sentencing next month and ordered background reports.
He told Heggie, of Cambuslang, that he had “real concerns” about him and put him on the sex offenders register.
He added: “I’m told that one image shows an 18 month old boy screaming on the video for five minutes and 12 seconds.”
Sheriff Crozier also demanded a probe into whether the online cloud account with the images still exists.
