Cambridge property and construction agency appoints new director of building surveying

Leading property and construction consultancy Ingleton Wood has appointed Neil Henderson as director of building surveying at the practice’s growing Cambridge office.

Neil has worked in the construction industry for 35 years,, including 24 years as a chartered building surveyor, developing a broad range of professional and project experience across most building types and managing projects ranging from new builds to refurbishments, conservation work and corporate fit-outs.

He said: “My experience is predominantly in the commercial sector – advising investors, funds, landlords and building occupiers across most building surveying disciplines, such as technical due diligence, reinstatement cost assessments and project consultancy.”

He said he chose to join Ingleton Wood because of its “approach to delivering projects, ensuring single-point responsibility using its in-house multi-disciplinary teams of surveyors, architects, engineers and construction professionals”.

He added: “Now that I’m here, I am able to experience first-hand how integrated they are, ensuring the client is the principal point of focus in their decision making.

“There’s a truly supportive and open culture underpinned by a commitment to working to the highest standards and code of professional ethics.”

Mike Miller, lead director of the Cambridge office at Ingleton Wood, said: “Neil shares our ambition of offering a broader range of building surveying services across all sectors and we are delighted to have someone of his calibre to lead our building surveying from our Cambridge office.”

Simon Gorst, commercial partner at Ingleton Wood, said: “It is really exciting having Neil join us to lead the Cambridge building surveying team.

“His expertise and experience will further develop our growing commercial building surveying team in the key location of Cambridge.”
