Nathan Broadhead scored a screamer as Sunderland beat Cambridge United in stormy conditions at the Abbey Stadium.
The Black Cats took the lead with an own-goal from Cambridge keeper Dimitar Mitov that owed much to the windy conditions.
Sam Smith briiefly brought the Us level, but Broadhead's brilliant goal ten minutes before half-time gave Sunderland all three points and lifted Lee Johnson's side up to fifth place in the table.
