As he heads into his second training camp as a member of the New England Patriots, quarterback Cam Newton has nothing but respect for head coach Bill Belichick.
Since joining the New England organization last year, Newton has learned to appreciate the mindset that Belichick has brought to the entire organization. In an Instagram post on Friday, Newton spoke about what Belichick does in order to make his organization better.
Newton broke down the level of expectations that come with playing for the organization. In a 14-minute video, the quarterback was not afraid to give his head coach praise as both look to bounce back from difficult seasons in 2020.
“Coach Bill instills in his players and his coaching staff and everybody affiliated with the Patriots organization,” Newton said in an Instagram post, “this warrior’s mentality to figure it out. Get it done. That’s what I respect most.”
With the Patriots looking to regain their status as one of the elite teams in the AFC, the “Patriot Way” mentality may prove to be extremely important for the fall.
