Cam Newton shares his Thanksgiving menu ahead of the holiday

As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, it’s always fun and exciting to figure out the menu for the big day. New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton already has his menu figured out, and it’s not your traditional Thanksgiving feast.

Appearing on the Greg Hill Morning Show on WEEI Monday, Newton explained what goes into his Thanksgiving dishes. Newton is vegan, but as he indicated, his dishes do not really stray away from a normal Thanksgiving meal. There is certainly a lot of variety to say the least, and it appears that he has figured out the science of a vegan Thanksgiving.

“There will be some alternative meals,” he said. “Everything that you probably have for your Thanksgiving I can still probably have outside of like turkey. … You got stuffing. You’ve got collard greens. My family is kind of Geechie when it comes to having rice with everything. My family does a nice red rice with sausage. You can transfer that with either Beyond or Impossible Meat (instead of sausage), mac and cheese, found a way to do that too.”

All in all, it sounds pretty good. The Patriots will certainly make the most of a big meal on Thursday, as they fuel up for the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
