Cam Newton shares a positive message while dealing with COVID-19

New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton was back on social media on Wednesday to share a message of positivity while he deals with COVID-19.

He tested positive on Friday, and has so far gone without symptoms. But it seems the virus is spreading within the Patriots organization, with two players joining Newton on the Reserve-COVID-19 list, a spot on the roster for COVID-positive players or for Patriots who have been “in close contact” with a person who has tested positive. Stephon Gilmore was the latest Patriot to test positive, per multiple reports.

It served as yet another remind of how contagious this disease can be. So Newton wrote to Patriots fans: “WEAR YOUR MASK • KEEP YOUR DISTANCE.”

This comes after Newton reflected upon contracting the disease in an Instagram post, which included a photo of him with his masked pulled down.
