The New England Patriots officially announced they signed quarterback Cam Newton Wednesday, as the team looks to enter the post-Tom Brady era. With the Patriots having the most difficult schedule in all of football, Newton will certainly have his work cut out for him. For now, he is just happy to be here
Newton took to Instagram on Wednesday to celebrate his arrival in New England. It will be interesting to see if he can play at a high level in what is a revamped AFC East. At the very least, he should make the 2020 season interesting.
With any luck Newton will help smooth what was supposed to be a difficult year for New England. He has a chance to make a rebuild a little more beneficial in the short-term.
