Cam Jordan lands at 16 in PFF’s Top 101 Players of 2018

Pro Football Focus completed their ranking of the top 101 players of the 2018 season, and New Orleans Saints defensive end Cam Jordan picked up some respect. He had the honor of ranking at 16 out of the 101-strong list. Here’s what the grading system at Pro Football Focus had to say about the Saints’ defensive star:

Jordan was his usual, disruptive self this year, tallying 66 pressures from his 580 pass-rushing snaps on the year. Jordan ended the year with a fifth-ranked 89.9 overall grade, his third straight grade of 89.0 or higher.

This is the fifth time Jordan has placed on their postseason listing, making him one of the leaders in that category. It just reaffirms his status as one of New Orleans’ most important players and a cornerstone of the defense. He remains one of the game’s best players.

Only one edge defender placed higher than Jordan in the Top 101 listing at Pro Football Focus: Chicago Bears sensation Khalil Mack, at 10. And that’s a well-deserved spot. Mack logged even more quarterback pressures than Jordan (73) despite playing in fewer games.
