You really have to appreciate the level Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward went to in order to let Steeler Nation know he got his contract extension and he’s staying in Pittsburgh.
Just moments after ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler reported the Steelers and Heyward were finishing up a huge new five-year contract for Heyward, he put out the above tweet using The Wolf of Wall Street to let everyone know he’s not going everywhere.
We can talk a lot about what Heyward brings to the field on Sundays. But his impact as a player and as a man extends well beyond that. A finalist for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, Heyward is genuinely one of the good guys in the league and a true leader.
