Cam Akers teases possible 2021 return after Rams add Odell Beckham Jr.

Cam Akers tore his Achilles this offseason, before the Rams even took the field for training camp. It was assumed that he would miss the entire season, given the severity of the injury, but the Rams never ruled him out.

Even recently, Sean McVay suggested that Akers could return for the playoffs if the Rams make it. Now with Odell Beckham Jr. in the mix on offense, Akers appears to be even more motivated to get on the field this season.

After the Rams added Beckham, Akers posted on Instagram pondering a possible return in 2021.

Take a look at his post below.

The Rams are in good shape even without Akers because both Darrell Henderson Jr. and Sony Michel have done a great job, but Akers is on the brink of becoming a star running back and would certainly make Los Angeles better for the final stretch.

The Rams shouldn’t rush him back, but if he’s cleared and 100% healthy, why not give him a shot to play in the postseason?
