Calvin Johnson visits with Julio Jones, Falcons on last day of 2019 minicamp

Former Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson may not be playing anymore but he still makes headlines anytime he shows up at any kind of football event.

Johnson was at the Falcons’ practice facility in Flowery Branch on the last day of minicamp and was spotted talking with head coach Dan Quinn and Falcons owner Arthur Blank, as well as wide receivers coach Raheem Morris and offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter.

Johnson played his college football at Georgia Tech.

Since his retirement, Julio Jones has taken the title of the league’s top receiver. No. 11 also got some one-on-one time with Megatron today.

Johnson finished his 135-game career with 731 catches, 11,619 receiving yards and 83 touchdowns. It will take Jones a while to catch up with his touchdown total (he has 51 so far), but he’s already posted 698 catches and 10,731 receiving yards in 24 fewer games.
