New Rangers signing Calvin Bassey has been handed the number 3 shirt, potentially indicating he's expected to make an immediate impact.
The 20-year-old left-back joined the club from Leicester City, signing a four-year deal.
Given his age and relative inexperience, some fans may have expected Steven Gerrard to ease the new man in slowly.
On Wednesday though Rangers unveiled their new-look website, complete with squad numbers for next season.
And Bassey has been handed the number 3 jersey, traditionally reserved for a team's first choice left-back.
However, the youngster is sure to have a tough job displacing Borna Barisic.
Elsewhere the returning Ianis Hagi holds on to the number 7 shirt, while Sheyi Ojo's 11 has not been reassigned after he returned to Liverpool.
