Calvay Crescent Barlanark police incident: Man seriously injured as area cordoned off

A man has been seriously injured following a disturbance in Barlanark.

Emergency services were called to the east end of Glasgow this lunchtime (Saturday) after reports of an incident on Calvay Crescent.

Police cordoned off the area, reports community Facebook page No1Seems2Care, and the 34-year-old man was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary to be treated for his injuries.

Officers have launched an investigation into the disturbance with enquiries ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a disturbance on Calvay Crescent, Glasgow, around 12.55pm on Saturday, 31 July.

"A 34-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
