Martin Odegaard has come in for a lot of praise following his performance in Arsenal's 3-3 draw against West Ham United.
Despite not getting on the scoresheet, nor claiming an assist as the Gunners fought back from three goals down to earn a point at the London Stadium, the Norway international's persistence and belief was key to the turnaround.
So much so that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said Odegaard's display was "incredible".
"I think he had an incredible performance, he was very intelligent the way he read the game, the way he effected the game and again he showed how much he wants to win," the Spaniard said.
"When everyone was a little bit trembling, he gave us that composure on the ball and he created chance after chance.
"I love talented and creative players that all the time are willing to take that ball and make things happen, that are mobile and also hard-working.
"He is one of them.
"We have some others with different qualities but it's true that Martin is now giving us a different level on certain things that we didn't have."
And it would appear that both Calum Chambers and Emile Smith Rowe agree with Arteta's assessment of Odegaard's performance against the Hammers.
Taking to social media after the game, the on-loan midfielder from Real Madrid shared a message with fans as he highlighted his disappointment at not taking all three points.
"Happy with the reaction after a terrible start, but disappointed not to take the 3 points," he wrote on Instagram.
"We keep going."
To which Chambers responded by saying "Wizard!", while Smith Rowe uploaded the 'Goat' emoji which is used to describe someone as the 'greatest of all time'.
football.london understands that Arsenal are keen on keeping Odegaard with further talks planned with Real Madrid at the end of the season.
This is sure to please Gunners legend Ian Wright who has told his former club to 'make sure' they complete a permanent transfer this summer.
"In the end, the character that they showed was magnificent," he told Premier League Productions. "Martin Odegaard, he is someone they do need to make sure they make that signing if they can.
"He did really come to the fore today."
