CalMac cancels Arran ferry sailings as Covid hits crew again

Arran ferry sailings have been dogged by more coronavirus woes today.

CalMac have axed dozens of sailings after a member of their crew tested positive for Covid.

A number of sailings have been cancelled today with problems expected to continue until Wednesday at least.

Bosses at the ferry firm say that close contacts on MV Isle of Arran are currently being replaced and in the meantime a number of services to and from Arran have been axed.

And passengers have been warned that space will be very limited on the sailings that are operating.

Customers have been advised, if possible, to travel via the Lochranza-Claonaig service.
