Callum Wilson issues scathing verdict from dressing room after Leeds loss

Newcastle United stars Callum Wilson and Isaac Hayden have delivered a scathing verdict on their defeat to Leeds last night.

The duo could not prevent the Magpies sliding to a 5-2 hammering at Elland Road and the need to get three points against Fulham has now increased.

Wilson felt that Newcastle should have had a penalty in the second half, but made no bones about the situation with a post on Twitter.

He said: "Last night wasn’t good enough by any of us!

"The positive thing is we have another game to put it right in a few days.

"VAR on the other hand..."

Meanwhile, Hayden tweeted: "Unacceptable end to the game tonight, bumps along the way are to be expected but we need to react quickly for the weekend.

"Thank you for your continued support."

Earlier Ciaran Clark had slammed his own team-mates and to Amazon Prime: "That's almost schoolboy really when you look back at it.

"For it to happen once and then a second time a minute later, there are no real words for it."
