Callum Smith will step into the ring next month to take on the "Pound-For-Pound King" Canelo Alvarez.
Seen by many as the most option for Canelo, the event will take place on December 19 and will be shown exclusively live on DAZN, launching for the first time here in the UK.
It's news that may come as a surprise to those who recall Alvarez' court battle with the company just a few short months ago.
In 2018, Alvarez signed an eleven-fight, five-year contract with DAZN worth somewhere in the region $365m.
Next month's bout between him and Smith has been organised by Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing.
While his out of the ring battle for guaranteed payment For the time being, Alvarez will work with DAZN on a 'fight-by-fight' basis.

Due to COVID-related postponements, neither Smith nor Alvarez have fought since November 2019. Alvarez had been scheduled to face Hertfordshire-born Billy Joe Saunders in the Spring.
Smith has fought twice since his landmark victory over George Groves, last defeating Southpaw John Ryder in front of his home crowd at the M&S Bank Arena.
This then will be Smith's third defence of his super-middleweight title. Alvarez himself owns a 'secondary' version of the belt and, incredibly, should the Guadalajaran be victorious next month, he would become an undisputed titlist across four divisions.
