Callum Roberts made his return to Notts County's starting line-up as head coach Ian Burchnall made one change to the side for the clash against Halifax tonight.
Roberts came in for striker Kairo Mitchell after serving a one-game ban for amassing five yellow cards which caused him to miss Saturday's 4-1 defeat at home to Woking.
Despite the heavy defeat at the weekend, Burchnall refused to make wholesale changes in the hope his faith would be rewarded with a victory at the Shay.
With goalkeeper Sam Slocombe out through injury, Anthony Patterson started in goal behind the back three of Richard Brindley, Alex Lacey and Ciaran Brennan.
Aaron Nemane was handed the right wing-back role while Adam Chicksen was deployed on the left-hand side.
Matt Palmer, Jim O'Brien and Roberts made up the midfield trio while Kyle Wootton was partnered in attack by Ruben Rodrigues who scored his first goal since the opening day against Woking on Saturday.
