Callum Roberts hails Notts County fans' support as winger promises there is more to come

Callum Roberts is determined to repay the faith shown in him by Notts County manager Neal Ardley and says he has yet to reach full throttle at Meadow Lane.

The winger has produced some stellar displays since arriving from Blyth Spartans last month and clinched the man of the match award in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Woking.

But the ex-Newcastle United wideman says he is yet to showcase his full potential which is an exciting prospect for  supporters who have quickly taken him to their hearts.

And moving forwards, Roberts says he is keen to repay them and boss Ardley as Notts chase promotion back to the Football League.

“The manager showed faith in me by putting me in straight away,” he said.

“Obviously I want to repay him  and hopefully I can keep doing that.

“The fans have helped me settle because when you’ve got 5,000 fans who are cheering for you then it gives you a massive boost.

“And the lads have been brilliant. They take the mick out of my accent and there are some great characters.

“But there’s more to come from me.”
