Celtic will be without both Callum McGregor and Liel Abada for their Europa League trip to face Real Betis.
The Hoops are in Spain on Thursday night but will need to do it without their skipper after Ange Postecoglou ruled him out of the match.
There is better news at full back with Anthony Ralston set to return and offer another option defensively for the Hoops.
The right back missed out on the win over Ross County at the weekend but comes back into the plans for Thursday.
But it's a huge blow to their hopes of getting the Europa League off to a flying start with McGregor's injury meaning he'll play no part in the game.

Postecoglou revealed: "Cal's got a bit of a knock so he'll miss out. It's not great for us because he's obviously a very influential player for us.
"Anthony Ralston is back so we'll get him back involved. Liel Abada will miss out because of Yom Kippur, which is obviously a significant religious day for him."
Regarding other team news ahead of the match in Seville, Postecoglou said: "Anthony Ralston is back so we'll get him back involved. Liel Abada will miss out because of Yom Kippur, which is obviously a significant religious day for him."
Celtic face a trip to Livingston on Sunday and will hope to have their captain back involved for what is always a difficult venue to go to.
Abada is also ruled out of the game against Betis with ‘religious reasons’ cited by Postecoglou.
The teenage winger has been impressive since joining the club but won’t play in Seville.
Celtic travel to Spain hoping to get their first win in the country, having lost 16 of their previous 19 games on Spanish soil.
