Callum McGregor gets Celtic lip readers out in force with 'X rated' Nicolas Raskin putdown

Callum McGregor gave Nicolas Raskin both barrels in the fiery derby at Parkhead – with fans claiming he called him a 'stupid c***' in one video clip.

The two midfielders were involved in a first-half shoving match that earned them yellow cards as tensions threatened to boil over at Celtic Park. Celtic went on to win 3-2 and move 12 points clear of Rangers but it was a bruising game where neither side quite hit the heights that has seen them both blow the rest of the league away since Michael Beale returned to Ibrox in December.

Ange Postecoglou applauded his players for doing the dirty part of the game well and there was a bit of that on show in the first 45 when McGregor and Rangers midfielder Raskin got a bit heated. The duo were seen trading words before getting into an altercation that had to be split up by whistler Kevin Clancy and players on both sides.

Some eagle-eyed fans have shared a clip showing McGregor address his rival as Joe Hart pulls him away. It doesn't take a professional lip reader to have an educated guess at what was said and one fan reckons he brands the Belgian a 'stupid c***'.

It comes after similar theories in the last league derby at Ibrox where it was claimed Greg Taylor told Alfredo Morelos to 'shut your hole, fatboy.' That has since inspired fan-made merch emblazoned with the slogan.
