Callum Marshall continues to catch eye with six goals in three games for West Ham United U18s

West Ham United fans believe Callum Marshall is destined to ‘hammer’ on David Moyes' first team door in the not too distant future after bagging another brace in a blistering start to the new season.

Marshall, who joined the English Premier League club from Linfield in January, was on fire for United’s academy sides in pre-season, scoring 13 goals in seven summer outings.

And the versatile 17-year-old forward has hit the ground running in competitive fixtures this month, scoring six in only three games for West Ham U18s in the Premier League South.

Marshall's prolific form after his first pre-season with the club hasn't gone unnoticed and many Hammers fans are predicting an exciting future for the Northern Ireland U19 striker.

One tweeted "Callum Marshall will be a top player" while another added: "Swear that Callum Marshall is scoring every week."

The former Linfield youngster kicked off the new campaign with a clinical hat-trick in a thrilling 3-2 win over Crystal Palace a fortnight ago.

He went on to add another in a 4-1 win over Southampton last weekend before notching up another two in Saturday’s breathless 5-4 win over Fulham.

Marshall gave the Irons an early lead at Motspur Park with a close range finish from a corner before bagging a second with a brilliant strike in the 55th minute.

The weekend win made it three victories from three for West Ham U18s who went top of the Premier League U18 South table.

Marshall scored nine goals in 15 appearances for West Ham U18s in the second half of last season.
