Callum Hudson-Odoi returns as Thiago Silva starts - Predicted Chelsea team vs Rennes

Chelsea have the chance to reach the Champions League knockout stages tomorrow night when they take on Rennes.

The Blues have made an excellent start to their Group E campaign, with seven points in their opening three games of the campaign.

One player who will be missing from the match, however is Christian Pulisic, who trained with the squad but did not travel to France for the game.

"Kai [Havertz] and Thiago [Silva] both travel and they are fit for selection," Lampard said.

"Christian [Pulisic] stays back and doesn’t travel but the good news is that he has had aggression in the last week. The reason he has stayed back is to get some physical work in so hopefully that will have him ready for selection come the weekend and onwards."

Thiago Silva is expected to start at the back, with his partnership with Kurt Zouma set to be reinstated.

It could be a chance to rest Mason Mount and Timo Werner, with both players having been regulars over the course of the season and potentially getting a rest.

Up top it might be the perfect chance for Callum Hudson-Odoi to come back into the starting XI after a tough start to the campaign and not making as many appearances as he would have wanted.

Tammy Abraham has been in excellent form for the Blues, while Hakim Ziyech should add to the creativity in the side once again.

Predicted Chelsea team: Mendy; James, Zouma, Thiago Silva, Chilwell; Havertz, Kante, Kovacic; Ziyech, Abraham, Hudson-Odoi
