Callum Hudson-Odoi representatives request Chelsea No10 shirt as part of new deal

Callum Hudson-Odoi's representatives have asked that he be given the No10 shirt at Chelsea, despite Willian claiming that he would be handed Eden Hazard's former number.

The Brazilian, who signed a new two-year deal at Stamford Bridge this week, claimed that he had been offered the shirt, having worn No22 since his arrival in west London.

Manager Frank Lampard, however, said there had been no decision made over who would take Hazard's place as the No10 following his move to Real Madrid.

Speaking to Desimpedidos in Brazil, Willian said: "I was offered the number 10 jersey ahead of next season and I will take it."

Despite that claim, Standard Sport understands that, as part of talks for a new five-year deal at Chelsea, Hudson-Odoi's representatives have requested he be given the No10 shirt.

"There’s no confirmation on that decision," Lampard said. "It will be taken in due course. Hopefully his return to training date will be early August."
