Callum Hudson-Odoi 'open' to Chelsea exit amid worries over playing time

Callum Hudson-Odoi is willing to listen to offers despite signing a new Chelsea deal less than 12 months ago.

The Blues winger put pen to paper on a five-year contract last year following months of speculation over a move to Bayern Munich.

But Hudson-Odoi is growing frustrated over a lack of game time having featured for a total of 48 minutes under Frank Lampard since the return of football.

The teenager previously handed in a transfer request in an effort to force a move away, but is thought of as a huge talent by the west London outfit.

Hudson-Odoi's competition for a starting berth is only set to increase with Hakim Ziyech moving to the club from Ajax.

Talks are also underway with Kai Havertz who has been a star in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen.

The Chelsea winger, whilst frustrated, is not about to push for a move elsewhere but will weigh up his options according to the Independent.

Pedro is poised to leave Stamford Bridge this summer and Willian could yet follow despite his willingness to remain.

But Christian Pulisic, signed from Borussia Dortmund last year, has flourished in recent weeks and Mason Mount continues to be a favourite.

Summer signing Timo Werner can also played in a wide role should Lampard want to play either Olivier Giroud or Tammy Abraham centrally.

It means Hudson-Odoi is likely to be rotated despite starting the final four Premier League games before lockdown.

His progress this season has been hampered by injuries but the 19-year-old has still seen 17 of his 29 appearances come from the bench.
