Callum Hudson-Odoi drops Instagram hint over Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea team selection vs Man City

Callum Hudson-Odoi may have dropped a big hint about starting Chelsea's Premier League clash against Manchester City.

The big game from the top flight of English football this weekend is a dress rehearsal of the Champions League final later this month as City host the Blues in a fixture that could see them reclaim the title from Liverpool.

Ahead of the game at the Etihad Stadium, Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel revealed that midfielder Mateo Kovacic is unavailable and also hinted at making changes to the side that started against Real Madrid.

"I've not decided yet. We have one day less to recover and we have an away game," the German said in his pre-match press conference. "One day less is quite the key factor in these times of the season so I can imagine that we maybe need fresh legs and minds tomorrow.

"Some hungry guys who deserve to show together that they have a chance in a big fixture.

"Tomorrow, if there will be new stuff tactically. I don't know. I haven't decided yet.

"I have to look at everybody and see who is available and who is a bit overloaded. There is a high possibility that we will see some changes."

Could this mean Hudson-Odoi is in line for a return to the Blues starting XI for the first time since the 4-1 win over Crystal Palace on April 21?

That may be the case as if his social media activity is anything to go by.

Taking to Instagram, the 20-year-old has done his best to hype up the big game in the North West which could suggest he's in line for a recall.

The likes of Thiago Silva, Jorginho, Antonio Rudiger and Ben Chilwell have done similar whenever they've been included in a Chelsea starting XI this season.

And they too are in contention to start this evening.

Following the Man City game, Chelsea welcome London rivals Arsenal to Stamford Bridge on May 12 for their penultimate home fixture of the season.
