Callum Booth becomes the latest St Johnstone player to sign new deal

Callum Booth is the latest Saint to extend his McDiarmid Park stay.

The left-sided full-back, who first arrived in Perth in September 2019, has agreed a new one-year deal.

A consistent performer, Booth has enjoyed a memorable campaign and has his sights set on finishing it in style.

He started in the Betfred Cup final win against Livingston in February and then helped Saints into the top six.

And on Sunday he was the picture of composure to slot home his penalty in the Scottish Cup quarter-final shootout victory at Ibrox.

“I’m really pleased to have signed until 2022,” said Booth. “It’s good to know I will be playing my football with Saints next season.

“This season has been incredible and to get a League Cup winners’ medal was phenomenal.

“I’m really enjoying my football and we have a great bunch of lads in the dressing-room.

“We now have a Scottish Cup semi to look forward to and we will give it our very best to be successful in this competition.

“But we have an important league fixture on Saturday at Hibs. I enjoy going back to Easter Road and I hope we can go there and get another positive result.”
