Ferdinand calls for patience
September was a mixed month for Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
There was the win over Newcastle United and last-gasp victories against West Ham and Villarreal.
But there were momentum-sapping defeats to the Hammers in the Carabao Cup and Young Boys in the Champions.
The last two Premier League games, at home, saw United yield one point and fans have begun to make their voices heard as they call for Solskjaer’s job.

Give Van de Beek his chance
Another 90 minutes. Another game in which Donny van de Beek failed to make it onto the pitch.
Solskjaer has said that the midfielder is not frozen out but has yet to get a run of games in the starting XI since arriving from Ajax last season for £35million.
With players now away with their national teams, Van de Beek will once again remain in Manchester after not being called up by the Netherlands, this is a key moment for him to impress in training.
Manchester Evening News’ Dominic Booth believes that once everyone is back, Van de Beek must be given a fair chance as it is now make or break.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s sensational return to Old Trafford this summer gave Solskjaer a headache. But a good one.
With the embarrassment of riches now at his disposal, as well as the talents Ronaldo brings, it’s easy to fixate on the Portugal star and try and feed him as early as often as possible.
Ex-United midfielder Daley Blind believes the striker’s inclusion is disrupting the way in which the team usually play.
