Calls for Granit Xhaka to lose Arsenal captaincy after he shouts "f*** off" at fans

Furious Arsenal fans are calling for Granit Xhaka to be stripped of the captain's armband after he shouted "f*** off" at supporters.

The Gunners skipper was subbed off in Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace, and responded angrily to the reaction from the fans.

Arsenal supporters ironically cheered when the Switzerlnad international's number was called, before he was replaced by Bukayo Saka.

Fans then began letting their frustration known and roundly booed Xhaka as he left the pitch, prompting him to cup his ears.

He was then seeing shouting "f*** off" before taking off his shirt and storming down the tunnel.

Gunners supporters took to Twitter following the match, with many hitting out at the midfielder's actions and calling for him to be stripped of the captaincy.

"I expect a statement confirming Xhaka has been stripped of the captaincy within the next 24 hours," tweeted on fan.

While another added: "I fully expect a that hes been stripped of the captaincy.

"News better be coming out the club tomorrow. To think [Mesut] Ozil is being ostracized by Emery and this joker Xhaka is playing every game is a crime against football."

And a third said: "Emery should be sacked with immediate effect if I don't see Xhaka has been stripped of captaincy."
