A callous thug 'cruelly' kicked a cat to death after it scratched him.
Paul Edward Patton killed the young animal , called Brody, after he booted him three times, according to Wales Online .
The 43-year-old had been scratched on his hand and legs before launching the "totally unnecessary and unspeakably cruel" attack .
He was then reported to the RSPCA as a post-mortem examination was carried out on the cat's body.
However, Patton, of Bodelwyddan in Wales, dodged jail ad was handed a 10-week custodial sentence suspended for a year after admitting to causing the cat to suffer unnecessarily.
Dead rats stuffed with drugs and phones lobbed over jail walls for inmates
He was also handed a decade-long ban on keeping all animals and ordered to pay £3,500 in costs and a £115 victim surcharge.
RSPCA inspector Jenny Anderton said: "This poor, young cat was subject to a totally unnecessary and unspeakably cruel act causing injuries to such an extent he suffered and died such an untimely death.
"Being scratched by a cat does happen and reacting this way is totally unacceptable and will disgust the vast majority of cat owners across north Wales and beyond.
"A post-mortem revealed injuries which caused this poor cat's plight. It is horrible to imagine what Brody went through in those final moments."
