Callous crook befriends man walking with cane before running off with his wallet in Dundee

A woman with a limp befriended an old man with a cane before running off with his wallet near a bingo hall in Dundee.

Police have launched probe after the incident happened at the corner of Nethergate and West Marketgait on Thursday, July 1.

The 59-year-old male, wearing a green t-shirt, green bomber jacket, dark blue jeans with brown shoes and walking with a cane, was befriended by the female, who came from the direction of the Keillor Centre.

After going to Wellgate, the woman asked the man to accompany her to the V&A.

As they sat down on the grass at the corner of Nethergate and West Marketgait, near to Mecca bingo, she asked for some money.

When the man took out his wallet she grabbed it and ran away stealing the wallet and contents.

The woman is described as being a white female, late 20’s/early 30’s medium height and build, wearing a pink t-shirt, light blue jeans and black and white trainers.

She has long black hair and has a scar or tattoo on her left hand, walking with a limp.

She may have been called Danielle.
