‘Callous and cruel’ woman slit the throat of her film director sister

  • Nancy Pexton, 70, has been jailed for life with a minimum term of 22 years for the murder of her sister, film director Jennifer Abbott.
  • Pexton slashed and stabbed Ms Abbott 10 times and taped her mouth with gaffer tape in an "intentional act of degradation" at her Camden flat on 10 June last year.
  • Ms Abbott's body was discovered three days later by a neighbour, and her diamond-encrusted gold Rolex watch, a gift from her son, was missing.
  • Pexton was found with the stolen Rolex and had previously written messages expressing her intent to kill her "more successful" sibling due to jealousy and animosity.
  • The judge highlighted Pexton's "callous, demeaning and cruel" actions, including the degradation of her sister and the theft of the watch, demonstrating a lack of remorse.
