Calling all inventors

For inventors and creators looking for creative inspiration as well as those looking for a space to share ideas, Maker Jam is a not-to-be-missed event.

Taking place on May 11 and 12 at mega art space Chang Chui on Sirindhorn Road, the event features several activities such as an interactive playground, interactive light and music, workshop, arts and crafts, a dinosaur parade, performances and shopping.

The workshops are one of the event highlights. They include making car robots, one way racing cars, internet of things (IoT) cloud lamps, and building a micro-controller project.

At the festival, makers can join a dinosaur parade and workshop. Each dinosaur will be created from cartons and decorated with lights. Participants should bring their own cartons to make their own dinosaurs. The organiser will prepare a limited amount of glow sticks for participants. Beautiful decorative lights priced between 20 and 200 baht will be available at the event. The parade will start at 6.30 pm on both days.

Visitors who aren't makers are welcome, too, as they can have fun with other activities such as fighting with aliens on virtual reality games, shooting a gun with rubber bands and watching a drone underwater.

Admission is free, but to attend a workshop, you must pay between 40 and 1,070 baht. To see details and register for workshops, go to training.inex.co.th.
