Callaghan College Wallsend, Singleton Heights among school closures due to COVID-19

CALLAGHAN College Wallsend and Singleton Heights Public School are closed today after members of their school communities tested positive for COVID-19.

Anna Bay Public School remains closed, after it was non-operational on Tuesday.

Hillsborough, Shortland, Eleebana, Tea Gardens and Windale public schools, as well as as well as Hunter Sports High and Stanford Merthyr Infants School have reopened.

St Patrick's Primary School at Cessnock also reopened today.

The Department of Education has streamlined its updates about school closures and advised it will update the public about the operational status of schools on its Schools Safety page.
