Call the Midwife actor Helen George has revealed she has a "genuine fear" of being written out of the popular BBC show.
Helen has starred as Trixie in the period production since its beginning. It's a Sunday-night staple on the BBC, but in a Q&A with Radio Times, she said "you never know" what could happen to her character - and her job - in the future.
Trixie's marriage was central to the series finale of Call the Midwife, which aired last week. Helen said she was never too comfortable about her future.

In the Q&A, asked if she feared being told her character was to leave Nonnatus House, she said: "You never have complete control. Absolutely, it's a genuine fear. You never know.
"And they might just come to a point where they think, 'Do you know what, we've got nothing more to say about your character. There's nothing left to do with you. So you're off.' It happens."
The last episode of this year's run did in fact see a heartbreaking exit. The finale, after being postponed by the BBC, finally aired last Sunday, with Trixie and Matthew's wedding taking the spotlight.
But, as well as having their hearts warmed by the couple's nuptials, viewers were sad to see Lucille confirm to her Nonnatus House colleagues and friends that she was off to the Caribbean. It looks like the character, played by Leonie Elliott, is off for good, but the actor hasn't ruled out a cameo.
Taking to Instagram and Twitter, Leonie wrote: "Thank you all for embracing Lucille and rocking with me on this journey, it is with a heart full of love and appreciation that I embark on pastures new." However, she did also say to Radio Times: "It would be lovely to pop up and see what's happening with Lucille in Jamaica."
