Call of Duty: Warzone teaser reveals release date and confirms Captain Price is joining the game

A brand new teaser for Call of Duty: Warzone has revealed Captain Price will be joining the game as an operator.

Season 4 of Warzone will also begin June 3, which means we can expect a brand new battle pass as well.

The new teaser trailer gives us a nifty recap of the 'story' thus far in main Call of Duty: Modern Warfare title, seemingly using Warzone to continue an overarching narrative.

Obviously the most important part of the trailer is the entry of Captain Price into the battle royale — glorious facial hair and all — who will be the main battle pass operator for this season.

It seems likely that we'll be getting a longer, more in-depth look at everything Season 4 has to offer as the release date draws closer.

Infinity Ward shared some key story information about the upcoming season on its official blog, explaining why Price has appeared in the game.

"In a desperate mission, Captain John Price and the SAS will partner alongside the CIA and the Urzikstani Liberation Force to retrieve stolen chemical weapons from a terrorist organization known as Al-Qatala," the post reads.

Price first made his Call of Duty debut in 2007, with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, where he quickly became a fan favourite of the entire series.

It is thought that the new season will eventually bring a new map to the battle royale and that it might even hint to the setting of a new Call of Duty game.

Recently in the game, bunkers dotted around Verdansk have been opened, which could be leading up to an even bigger reveal, new map or otherwise.

As well, Captain Price's debut in Warzone could be a hint of a standalone Price-orientated game or at least his appearance in a brand new Call of Duty reveal.
