A new Call of Duty: Warzone update is being released to improve the visual experience for players through a texture pack suitable for next gen consoles.
The upgrade, which was revealed by Activision during the launch of Season 4, will be added to Call of Duty Warzone and Modern warfare.
Both games run on the same hardware and therefore will both benefit from the new texture pack.

Unfortunately, Black Ops: Cold War fans will not benefit from the update as it was developed with different tools than its predecessor and battle royale counterpart. Cold war player shouldn't feel left out though.
Currently, Warzone and Modern Warfare don't have a next-gen version on Xbox Series X or PS5 and therefore can't take advantage of the powerful new hardware running the games.
The new texture pack will be an optional download for players running the game at the highest inputs. Now, the games should be able to run at a 1440p and 4k - providing high-definition features.
While the optional update is recommended for Xbox Series X and PS5 players, it will also be suitable for high-performing last-gen consoles such as the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro.
Activision have not provided details of the exact time the update will be available, but players should be able to download it by this evening.
The file size will be 7.6GB, adding onto the already giant size of Warzone's game file. However, because the download is optional, players can decide whether they have enough room on their console to allow for the texture upgrade.
