It’s one of the most highly anticipated games, and now we may finally have a release date for Call of Duty Warzone.
The battle royale game is tipped to launch in March, according to a new report by VGC.
Speaking to ‘development sources’, VGC claims that Warzone should launch early next month.
VGC explained: “Given that Modern Warfare updates are typically deployed on Tuesdays, March 10 is the most likely candidate for Warzone’s release date.”
The sources added that marketing for the game will begin this week, with Activision inviting select content creators to attend a preview of the game and record footage.

Warzone will be a free-to-play standalone game, with the option for players to purchase an ‘upgrade’ to the full version of Modern Warfare, according to the report.
VGC added: “Warzone will likely share unified progression with the existing Modern Warfare battle pass, with cosmetic unlocks also made available in the battle royale mode.”
The report comes shortly after the launch of Call of Duty Modern Warfare Season 2.

Season 2 has officially launched on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC today, bringing with it a new Battle Pass, modes, free maps and lots of other content.
Activision explained: “In Season Two, Al-Qatala agents have stolen a Soviet nuclear warhead and smuggled it into the city of Verdansk.
“Combined with previously obtained chemical gas, Al-Qatala is determined to cut off Verdansk from the rest of the world.
“On the brink of a global catastrophe, Captain Price sends in Ghost to track down the location of the warhead and lead key Operators before it’s too late.”
