Call of Duty: Warzone new year update finally fixes invisibility bug

Since mid-December, Warzone players have been complaining about encountering other players who are seemingly invisible.

Raven Software has now addressed the issue and has carried out a bug fix in its first Warzone update of 2022.

This bug was related to an Operator skin - the Awoken Francis skin - which made it so players could only see another players' head.

While the skin was technically available to all players, the key issue stemmed from the fact that it was only unlockable at tier 100 of the battle pass, which meant players could just pay out money to unlock the skin.

Players said that this made Warzone a 'pay-to-win' game with the bug due to the unfair advantage it gave.

The new update also fixes collision issues where players were able to exploit certain areas of the map that allowed them to shoot through solid objects, also providing an unfair advantage.

The Warzone developer has also said that it will be providing "many updates" over the coming weeks and hinted that they're actively listening to feedback from players regarding issues in the game.

It is unclear what exactly caused the bug to happen, but it seems that after a few weeks of the issue persisting, Raven Software managed to hone in on it and quickly fix it.

While many players were concerned that the bug was present in the game for a long time, it seems that there may not have been enough staff at Raven Software to address it as quickly as usual due to the holiday period.

Some of the updates players are likely to see in the next few weeks will most likely include weapon balance changes since many players are concerned with the current overpowered status of shotguns in the game as well as new playlists being added to the rotation.
