Call of Duty players can shoot mum holding baby in shocking new game

Players can shoot an unarmed woman holding a baby in the latest Call of Duty video game.

The game carries an 18+ rating and features a number of disturbing scenes, one of which involves shooting a woman as she holds the child.

Other scenes include a chemical weapons attack and mass executions.

If gamers shoot the baby, no gore is shown and the screen fades to black with the message, “Children are not combatants”.

Defending the scenarios, Taylor Kurosaki, studio narrative director at Infinity Ward, that created the game, said they were not featured in a “flippant” way.

Infinity Ward and Activision, the game’s creators and publishers have been contacted for comment.
