'Call of Duty: Black Ops 7,' 'Warzone' Season 5 Update Reveals New Maps, Weapons, and More

Activision has officially pulled back the curtain on everything coming to "Call of Duty: Black Ops 7" and "Call of Duty: Warzone" in Season 5.

Launching on July 23, the new season is stacked with fresh maps, new weapons, additional Zombies content, and a brand new point of interest arriving in Verdansk.

'Call of Duty: Black Ops 7,' 'Warzone' Season 5 Revealed

"Call of Duty" Season 5 brings a loaded lineup of new content across every major mode. Two new operators are also making their debut alongside the season.

Spectre headlines the Battle Pass as a JSOC operative with an unknown background, described only through fragmented intelligence reports and witness accounts of untraceable assassinations.

On the BlackCell side, Cipher is introduced as a former inmate enhanced with augmented reflexes and combat sub-systems, arriving with three unlockable variant skins through in-game challenges.

The Battle Pass itself offers over 100 pieces of content, including Weapon Blueprints, Operator Skins, Calling Cards, Finishing Moves, and Emotes across free and premium tiers.

BlackCell owners gain exclusive access to additional skins for operators including T.E.D.D., Anderson, Dempsey, Richtofen, and Reaper EWR-3, alongside seven exclusive weapon blueprints.

New Endgame Assignment: Burn Run

According to BleedingCool, "Endgame," the PvE mode set in Avalon, is getting a new timed challenge called the Burn Run Assignment at launch.

The mode puts players behind the wheel of a bomb-rigged vehicle and challenges them to race against the clock through a course lined with thirty flaming arches marking the correct path forward.

Along the way, players are meant to run over Fear enemies and objects scattered across the road, since doing so adds valuable seconds back onto the timer. The course also includes pickups like repair wrenches and speed boosts, which help keep the vehicle in working condition while maintaining momentum toward the finish line.

The mode is built around constant forward pressure, rewarding players who stay aggressive rather than playing it safe.

Alongside Burn Run, Season 5 introduces Ability Boosts, a new system for further customizing an operator's loadout in Endgame.

'Call of Duty' Season 5 New Weapons, Maps

Three new weapons are confirmed at launch, with a fourth arriving mid-season.

The FG42 is a full-auto assault rifle with low recoil and rapid recentering speed, unlockable via Battle Pass Page 3.

The Gremlin is a dual-wield SMG built for close-quarters speed and hipfire accuracy, available from Battle Pass Page 6. The Mammoth is a heavy-hitting LMG with twin reciprocating barrels arriving as an event reward mid-season, and the Mace is a high-damage melee weapon earnable through Weekly Challenges.

On the maps side, Jubilee is the headline addition for Multiplayer. Set in a rural Japanese town during a festival, it features a mix of long sightlines on Main Street and tighter flanking routes through local venues.

Two returning remastered maps also join the rotation: Frequency, originally from "Call of Duty: Black Ops 4," and Dig, which first appeared in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2." Mid-season brings Turbo Tilt, a Nuketown-inspired map set inside a pinball machine, and a new Freerun map called Descent.

What to Expect From 'BO7,' 'Warzone' Season 5

Zombies sees the addition of the Eidskallen Lighthouse Survival Map, a new Rogue Run playlist called Astra Malorum spanning three difficulty tiers, and Directed Mode coming to Kowakujō.

Mid-season will deliver the final chapter of the "Black Ops 7" Zombies story in a new round-based map called Rex Infernus, where players face the Warden in the narrative's closing confrontation.

For "Warzone," a new point of interest called Drone Labs arrives south of Quarry in Verdansk, featuring two large L-shaped buildings and an outdoor drone obstacle course.

New gameplay additions include Juggernaut Armor, Supply Drones that can be shot down for loot, and the Hunter Killer Drones killstreak launching in Resurgence and Battle Royale.

New limited-time modes include Lockdown Casual centered on Drone Labs and Heavy Metal Heroes, a 50v50 vehicle combat mode. Resurgence Ranked Play also kicks off a new season with its own exclusive reward track. Season 5 launches July 23 across all platforms.
